About Me

MARCH

Hi there…and welcome to my blog! My name is Kim and I live in the beautiful city of Seattle, WA. I’m a transplant here, originally from San Diego, CA, and I gotta be honest — I never imagined I would ever leave sunny Southern California to live anywhere else except maybe a tropical island. But after one visit I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest, rain and all, and then coincidentally I just happened to fall in love with someone who lived here…and well, the rest is history — I had to follow my heart and move. I’m into my third year here now, and I’ve been blessed to see some amazing sights, meet and become friends with some truly wonderful people who have changed my life, and the best part — now I’m planning my wedding here!

So that’s a little background on me…but what’s this blog all about? My motivation for starting this blog came out of a tragedy. My Mom lost her battle with cancer rather abruptly at the beginning of this year. In an instant, a breath, I went from being somebody’s daughter, to sort of an orphan. I do have distant and extended family in far away places, but as for my immediate family, those who shared my history and memories…Mom was it for me. This loss has shaken me, and from it my priorities have shifted in many ways. I feel like I’m on a new journey more focused than ever on following my passions, not going through the motions for anything, saying what’s in my heart and on my mind, and finally figuring out what the heck the rest of my life is going to be about from here.

So this blog is about that…seeing where my new road leads from here…and taking you along if you’d care to join me. I’m looking forward to sharing more of myself and my life with all of you…and I’m also pretty excited to see who and what this blog will bring into my life.  ~~ kim
